
Orders in February recorded a downturn of 4.4%, while on average in the last three months they increased by 0.4% compared to the average of the previous three months. In trend terms, the crude index decreased by 2.6%, with a marked reduction in the domestic market (-4.2%), stable the foreign one (-0.2%). The highest trend growth was recorded in the pharmaceutical industry (+ 8.3%), while the worst result in textiles and clothing (-9.1%).
In February, the turnover of the industry, net of seasonal factors, decreased by 2.1% compared to January and in the average of the last three months the general index remained almost stable, with a variation of + 0.1% compared to the average of the previous three months. Istat estimates it. The cyclical trend in turnover reflects negative changes on the domestic (-2.3%) and foreign (-1.5%) markets. Adjusted for calendar effects (20 working days as in February 2019), the total turnover grows in tendential terms by 0.9%
