Who wouldn’t want to have a 98 ″ TV at home? But above all: who among us would have the space to keep it in the living room? Yet Redmi Smart TV MAX is just that: a giant smart TV with one 98 ″ 4K screen (yes, only 4K) and 60 Hz refresh rate. The panel covers 85% of the NTSC space, HDR with 192-zone local dimming and 20 image enhancement technologies.
On the sound front we find 4 speakers and support for DTS and Dolby decoding. On the one of the ports, however, 3 HDMI ports (one with ARC) and S / PDIF output. There is no shortage of quad-core processor (Amlogic T972), 4 GB of RAM is 64 GB of eMMC. As OS we find Xiaomi’s PatchWall software which is based on Android TV.
The cost? 20,000 yuan, or something like 2,600 €. If you were ready with your credit card in hand, we have to brake you: it will only be available from April 9, and it will probably never come to us. But, who knows, maybe we are wrong.
Redmi Smart Display 8 ″
And there is also a smart display: this device, with a screen from 8 ″ HD (178 ° as a viewing angle) has Xiaomi’s voice assistant on board, XiaoAi. It allows the control of the company’s IoT products and also acts as a gateway for one bluetooth mesh. On the front we find a 5W speaker and an HD camera.
This product will also be available only in China from March 27. The price is certainly competitive: 349 yuan, that is just under € 46. Of course, the presence of XiaoAi certainly limits his abilities in our country, but for some it may not be a problem.
