Farewell to the sports champion masseur Oscar Ghidini. The Reggio physiotherapist died yesterday at the age of 85, at the hospital of Guastalla, in the Bassa in the province of Reggio Emilia, where he had been hospitalized since Monday, infected with the coronavirus.
In his curriculum Ghidini boasts the participation in three Olympics alongside numerous athletes, whose muscles he cared for. Among the best known are the multi-titled motorcyclist Giacomo Agostini, as well as the other pilots Max Biaggi, Marco Lucchinelli and Alex Crivillè, the boxer Nino Benvenuti, the Abbagnale brothers of the canoe, but also more recently the swimmer Gregorio Paltrinieri. Ghidini leaves his wife Jana Szendiuchova – with whom he lived in San Martino di Guastalla, also in the Reggiano region – lyric mezzosoprana.
