NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine has announced that he plans to make available i US launchers to bring Japanese astronauts to the moon with the Artemis project.
This can be seen from the Japanese magazine The Mainichi, in which we read of a meeting, which took place last September, between Bridenstine and the head of the Japanese space political committee.
Japanese astronauts will participate in ARTEMIS
The Artemis mission, which involves the return of man to the moon in 2024 with a lunar space station (NASA Lunar Gateway), will see precisely the involvement of the Japanese space agency with agreements made both for the mission itself and for the assembly of the orbiting station.
What emerges from the first rumors about this agreement is that, probably, it is a strategic move to keep China in the sights: with various projects, including the cultivation of a cotton seedling on the moon, China has certainly shown itself to be at the forefront and perfectly capable of being able to aim for a human moon landing mission.
