A day of joy and optimism at Peda-Fouria Medical Center. 38-year-old Johnny, the bus driver who was hospitalized in serious condition and was the first hardcore Corona patient in Israel, recovered and released to his home. Dr. Moshe Matan, an intensive care specialist at the medical center, said in the afternoon: “I am pleased to announce that today the complex and difficult corona is being treated in Israel, returning home. He is out of here smiling and feeling good. Given the situation he was in just two weeks ago, this is a great achievement for us! ”

Johnny first agreed today, to be briefly interviewed: “I remember the day Dr. Matan woke me up, I was connected to all the devices and tubes, couldn’t talk, I heard him ask me if I knew where I was. I couldn’t answer him, at that moment I thought I had been put to sleep for a few hours. I didn’t imagine it was a full week. Dr. Matan explained to me what treatment I received and what the next stage of treatment was. They were excellent, Dr. Matan, Dr. Abu Ziad, and all the nursing staff, Ilana Asael the responsible nurse, they did not leave me for a moment.

I feel this team saved my life! It is only because of you that I stand on my feet again. I want to thank all the staff who treated me and brought me back to life. I know how hard it was, and I want them to know that I really appreciate what you did for me. I know that as much as I thank you, it won’t be enough. Thanks to you now I feel good, like new. ”

Johnny has a wife and three children, aged 10, and two sons, two and a half years old, and a 7-month-old baby. “I haven’t seen baby Alex in over a month. It’s so difficult. The first thing I want to do now that I bring it up, is to go home to see my children.
