In the coming weeks we will talk more and more about Contact Tracing. The use of technology to stop new outbreaks, in the case of a progressive recovery of everyday life, is fundamental. Apple and Google have announced that they will work together to allow the creation of inter-operable applications, and that in a second phase they will integrate the thing within iOS and Android, managing different elements at the operating system level thus avoiding that a person has to download a dedicated app. The system would become much more effective.

Is privacy at risk? No, because all documents and apps will be public, and we are already reading the preliminary white papers to understand how contact tracking will be managed and how the data will be anonymized. An English cartoonist has decided to create, using the data of a virologist and based on the security protocols used by the apps already launched, a short comic that explains how exactly a Contact Tracing application works and why it is absolutely anonymous, therefore any concern on the subject of privacy is totally out of place. We translated it into Italian with the author’s permission. Feel free to share it.
