The disaster occurred at the Rebbe’s residence, in Borough Park, Brooklyn. Rescuers were called to the scene and resuscitated him for many minutes, but in pain, the Arelians defeated the cliffs and his pure soul rose to the sky.
Senior Agudat Israel officials tell Sabbath Square that from the week before, the Rebbe felt bad, probably because he had contracted the Corona virus – which led to his passing.
The late Manovominsk Rebbe was one of the leaders of ultra-Orthodox Judaism in the United States, including as chairman of Agudat Israel in America, and chaired the Torah Council in the United States.

From its history:
The Rebbe was born in the United States to his father, Rabbi Nahum Mordechai Perlov, the Rebbe of Novominsk-New York, and his Rebbe mother Beila Ruhama, the daughter of Rebbe Yitzchak Zelig Morganstern of Kotzk-Sokolov.
During his election years, he studied at the rabbinical assembly Chaim Berlin and was a close disciple of the genius Rabbi Yitzchak Hutner, and upon his arrival he married a Jewish rabbinate, the daughter of Rabbi Avraham Eichenstein of Zidichov-Chicago and his wife Shirza, the daughter of Rabbi Pinchas Shalom Rotenberg of Kuson.
After his marriage, he studied at the Gore Aryeh High School for the Blessings of the Rabbinical Society, Haim Berlin, and later began teaching at the Beit Midrash for Torah. After the death of his late father, the Rebbe, he began to serve in the Rebbe’s place.
The Rebbe established a synagogue, as a Novominsk Chassidic Center, and a meeting called “Kol Yehuda” in Borough Park, Brooklyn, New York. Over the years, he gradually left his duties at Rabbi Breuer’s Yeshiva and later resigned and focused on his work at Yeshiva.
As mentioned, the Rebbe is considered one of the leaders of ultra-Orthodox Judaism in the United States, chairman of Agudat Israel in America and chaired the Association of Torah Giants in the United States. His rabbinical wife died 22 years ago, and he remarried.
