Just this week, Health Ministry officials warned that the Health Ministry could not cope with the crisis in nursing homes and that it was a “ticking bomb.”

The same officials stated that they believe the responsibility for assisting nursing homes should be transferred to the Ministry of Defense. This is after the Home Front Command was given the responsibility earlier this week to take care of the medicines, food packages and equip the elderly who are in isolation in homes.
