The Saudi Ministry of Health announces the results of examinations of Saudi students coming from China

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – After the arrival of the Saudi students from Wuhan, China, the Saudi Ministry of Health announced the results of the first laboratory tests of the new “Corona” virus, in a tweet on the website “Twitter”.

The Saudi Ministry of Health indicated that the results are negative, and that the students will be isolated for 14 days, under medical supervision, in order to conduct additional checks and check on their health.

In coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Saudi embassy in China, the students were transferred, accompanied by specialized medical teams, to a suitable accommodation that was fully equipped and provided the necessary medical care.

In a separate tweet, through the official Saudi Ministry of Health account, on Twitter, I published some steps to prevent the new Corona virus, and here are the most notable:

  • Cook well

  • Avoid close contact with someone who has cold or flu symptoms

  • personal cleanliness

  • Avoid unsafe handling of animals, whether they are wild or on the farm

  • Follow the etiquette of sneezing and coughing

The Saudi Ministry of Health website stated that the number of samples that were examined in Saudi Arabia from January 20 to February 2 was 62, all of which were negative. He added that 3,152 passengers traveling through direct flights from China, and 868 passengers traveling through indirect flights, were examined during the same period.

According to a tweet published by the Ministry of Health account yesterday, he stated that “so far, no confirmed cases of the new Corona virus have been registered in the Kingdom.”

In turn, the Saudi Ministry of Health is working to examine all arrivals from China, through direct and indirect flights, while providing medical crews in all land, air and sea ports.
