The two coaches are very different, the transition is complex. The hashtag #SarriOut returns on Twitter but the Gazzetta.it survey …

Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea performance between January and February 2019: first leg defeat (later remedied) with Tottenham in the League Cup, Premier defeats with Arsenal, Bournemouth and City, elimination in the Fa Cup from the United and lost League Cup final with the City. At the end of the year, the same team qualified in the Champions League and won the Europa League, testifying to the fact that in football not everything is clear from the beginning. The precedent does not demonstrate anything in particular but makes it clear that problems, like those that Juve certainly has, do not necessarily have to become dramas. Also because the first year for a coach is always complex and for Sarri … more.

Distant worlds

MS is a field technician, he thinks that there – with exercises, repetitions, synchronisms studied on the video and then trained – the winning seasons are built. It needs more time than other coaches. Allegri, in his first year at Juve, began with the classic 3-5-2, firmly supported by Conte’s lesson. Then gradually he introduced the four-man defense. Sarri chose not to do it and perhaps it could not be otherwise, because M&M, Max and Maurizio, are very distant coaches, among the most distant in the world. They have opposite priorities and to explain it it is not necessary to summarize the infinite discussions on play and resultatism. At Juve they chose a center forward with very different characteristics and a different way of defending (Sarri loves a higher, more aggressive line, with four players who move with their teammates as a reference). Two of Allegri’s key men, Mandzukic and Emre Can, have practically never been in Sarri’s plans.

The social war

Social media, not by chance, have been talking about Sarri and Allegri for two days. Obviously they divide because a synthesis between the two is impossible. The hashtag #SarriOut is back on Twitter – after all it was him, more than Pjanic, more than Higuain, the great theme of Juventus Sunday – and some nostalgic Max was made to feel, as if years of ruthless criticism were never existed. Indeed, a bookmaker like Snai has lowered the exemption quota to 7.50. MS however maintains a group of loyalists who defend him on social networks, ask for time and accuse the players. Interesting the results of the survey on the issue of Gazzetta.it, built on the theme: “What are the causes of the Juventus crisis?”. Sarri is around 32%, with the players and the management (“inadequate market”) not far from 15. However, the most voted item is the last one, “Juve is not in crisis”, close to 40%. Juventini optimistic and perhaps interisti (or Lazio) superstitious, all together.
