Coronavirus in Alassio, tension in quarantined hotels: doctors from the ASL and the Red Cross to give comfort to guests

                            Alassio. Moments of discouragement mixed with moments of tension, accomplices fear, fatigue and uncertainties. These are the feelings and sensations that, for 24 hours now, have been the masters in the Bel Sit and Al Mare hotels in Alassio, quarantined yesterday with about 140 people inside.

Hotel guests and employees spent the night and most of the day in their rooms. And there was no shortage of anger for emergency management: the climax today, around lunchtime, with the launch of some bags containing food outside the structure.

The telephone story comes from the Alassino hotel, whose owners are in constant contact with the deputy mayor Angelo Galtieri who is trying to manage the situation, keeping calm, but not without difficulty, within the structures.

“Many guests are elderly and are already almost at the limit in this situation of tension and concern. The anger is due to the situation, but also to the management: they want to be able to eat at least something hot “, they explained from the hotel.

And it is precisely in this sense that the Municipality of Alassio is working, which has requested the possible support of the red cross outside the hotels with the preparation of an equipped structure: the hope is that this can be achieved by today evening.

In the meantime, to help and psychologically support guests and hotel staff, three ASL2 doctors arrived a few minutes ago, ready to assist in quarantine for comfort.

Meanwhile, the shuttle of relatives and friends continues, who go outside the hotels, leaving clothes and personal belongings for their loved ones in front of the entrances.
