PS5: the official website talks about the technical specifications and backwards compatibility

A few hours have passed since Sony made the official website of PlayStation 5 public, and although not many of the main features of the new console have been revealed, the Japanese company wanted to let it be known that it is not yet time to reveal certain details, but will do it in due course. Along with several features already made known in the past months, such as resistive triggers and haptic feedback (two big news that the PS5 controller will propose) from the Japanese site of Sony you can read how PlayStation 5 will have a SSD extremely fast custom, an 8-core x86-64-AMD Ryzen Zen2 CPU, an AMD custom chip, an AMD Radeon RDNA GPU, the unit dedicated to 3D audio processing and support for Ultra HD Blu Ray with maximum capacity of 100 GB.

Among the most interesting things that emerged from the Sony site we can also find the presence of a video output that will be able to manage images in 8K, which does not necessarily mean that games on PlayStation 5 will reach an 8K resolution, and it is likely to prove to be a feature that will only be dedicated to playing movies or videos. In addition, two confirmations are given, the first is the compatibility of PS5 with the PlayStation VR, and the second concerns the total backward compatibility with the PlayStation 4 play library.
