Huawei’s situation is still very uncertain. The BAN imposed by the United States of America has in fact ha prevented American companies from collaborating with the Chinese giant. As a result, Google, the service provider for Android smartphones, also found itself with tied hands.
Here then is that Huawei, to continue operating in the smartphone sector, was forced to use alternative solutions. The brand has thus created Huawei Mobile Services, alternative services to those of Google to be able take advantage of all the potential of Android.
In this way, Huawei has created apps that replace fundamental applications such as Gmail, Maps, Play Store and Chrome. The first terminals to be launched without the BigG apps were those of the Mate 30 family, while the next will be those of the P40 family.
Huawei would like to return to collaborate with Google
Despite this important shortcoming, land sales of Mate 30 Pro have reached the same interesting figures. However, Huawei recently announced its future plans. The company has no intention of abandoning Google as a partner for the smartphone world. In fact, the brand will return to use Google Mobile Services as soon as the Ban is canceled.
The motivation is mainly linked to the usage habits of western users. Google services are the most used and it would be impossible to spend resources on duplicating basic applications like the calendar.
The decision is now up to President Trump and his government to decide if totally remove the Ban or grant a delegation. In this case, in fact, some selected companies could continue to collaborate with Huawei despite the blockade.
