In East Naples there is the future of digital transformation. Starting tomorrow, the San Giovanni a Teduccio campus will host thirty students from the 5G Academy, the new master of the University of Federico II created together with Capgemini, a world leader in consultancy and technology services, at the forefront of innovation to allow its customers to better orient themselves in a constantly evolving world of cloud, digital and platforms. The course will last six months and will develop in four phases, the last of which will be developing field projects supported by business case development partners. Participants will also have the opportunity to be hired within Transformation Consulting, Capgemini’s business unit in Italy dedicated to digital transformation.
According to the main analysts, between 2020 and 2023 the global manufacturing market will invest about 2.5 billion on 5G and private LTE networks, considered the main driver to promote a transformation that enables Industry 4.0.1 Companies that invest in in this sense they must adopt a structured approach, such as to ensure a strong alignment between business and technological objectives. Precisely for this reason the initiative of Capgemini and Federico II University was born, in collaboration with Tim and Ptc, which aims to develop vertical and business skills that allow you to understand how 5G enables innovative use cases that allow you to develop new business models: the 5G infrastructure will make it possible to reduce latency, increase the speed of data transmission and increase the density of connected objects and people by several orders of magnitude.
