Volleyball, women: Egonu sinks Eczacibasi, Conegliano world champion

A great comeback win

Conegliano started strong (6-3) but was immediately restarted (6-7). A Wolosz ace and two 'pipes' from Hill allowed Imoco to shoot ahead again (13-7) also due to some mistakes by too many of the opponents. Conegliano managed the advantage until 17-14 when Eczacibasi changed pace thanks to ACES and Boskovic's attacks (18-21). The Venetians resisted (21-22) but surrendered to two other lunges of the Serbian champion (22-25). Conegliano reacted with character and, taken by the hand by Egonu, immediately started on 10-4 in the second set and then gradually increased the advantage (16-7 and then 19-9) closing an adversary resigned to the 25-14 accomplice loss of the partial.

Egonu decisive

On the wings of enthusiasm Santarelli's girls insisted and went ahead 7-4 in the third set.
