The European Swimming Championships of 2022 will be held in Rome: the European Swimming League has decided, which had to choose between the nominations of Rome, Munich and Kazan. The European races will be held from 11 to 21 August and the project of the Italian Swimming Federation does not include the construction of new fixed installations. The most important competitions will be hosted in the Foro Italico swimming pool, in a temporary pool that will be built in the Foro Italico Central tennis stadium and in Ostia for sea races. It was not decided where the diving competitions will take place.
