The triumph of Panziera
Margherita Panziera won the gold medal in the final of the 200 women's backs at the Tollcross International Swimming Center in Glasgow. The 24 year old Venetian of the Fiamme Oro, with a time of 2'01 "45, preceded the Ukrainian Daryna Zevina, silver in 2'02" 25, and the Dutch Kira Toussaint, bronze in 2'03 "04.

Ilaria Bianchi wins the silver medal in the 200 butterfly. The Italian also made the new Italian record in 2'04 "20 closing behind the Hungarian Katinka Hosszu (2'03" 21); bronze to the other Magyar Zsuzsana Jakabos (2'05 "00).
Pilgrims sixth in the 100 freestyle
Federica Pellegrini instead closed the final of the 100 freestyle in sixth place. The gold was won by the British Freya Anderson, who with a time of 51 "49 preceded the French Emil Gastaldello and the Dutch Emske Heemskerk. The Italian finished in 52" 30.
The Azzurri in the final
Fabio Scozzoli and Nicolò Martinenghi, respectively with the third (56 ″ 81) and sixth time (57 ″ 08, personal) overall of the batteries, qualify for the final of the 100 male frog. Best access time for the Belarusian Ilya Shymanovich, who achieves the European record (55 ″ 89). With the fifth and sixth overall time trial, the Azzurri Alessandro Miressi (21 ″ 18) and Federico Bocchia (21 ″ 19) qualified for the final of the 50 freestyle. Best access time for Russian Vladimir Morozov (20 ″ 73).
