Words that Oliverio made his own a few hours ago, saying he was ready to step aside in exchange for a collective step back. "Via the candidacies of Callipo and Aiello" he asked Pd and Five stars, he who made barricades against the alliance with the pentastellars. And he proposed "let's identify together a competent young man who may live and work outside and let us return to Calabria". Otherwise – he threatened – "the die is cast and I go on," he announced at a press conference.

Words in the wind and above all very late for the Democratic Party. "It seems the child excluded from the game who says 'if I don't play, nobody does it'" a manager comments very acid. Among the sardines, not only from Calabria, the move was instead judged to be significant. "It is the first concrete political result that we obtain by making requests for coalition efforts aimed at the common good and not at the interests of individuals", comments the movement that has been filling squares in Italy and TV salons for weeks.

And on the pentastellate front? No one comments, some fringe that he had hoped in the agreement with the Democratic Party to avoid the electoral disaster that the polls draw, we hope. At the moment however, officially perseveres in the solo race with the Unical teacher Francesco Aiello, who however still has to receive the imprimatur from Rousseau and inside does not enjoy a large esteem, above all after the grain of the semiabusiva house revealed by Republic.

Aiello already communicates as a candidate governor, but his name must pass (still) the examination of Rousseau and the result is far from obvious. "At the moment there is no date, but probably," says a source inside the Movement, "it will be discussed at the closure of the region," the process of selecting candidates for the Council online. Initially, the deadline for submission of applications for both Calabria and Emilia Romagna was scheduled for 11 pm on 4 December, but a message on the Rousseau platform caused everything to shift at 6 pm on Monday 9. Among the ranks of the right, up to a month ago, a winner, one continues to quarrel furiously about the candidate. The mayor of Cosenza, Mario Occhiuto, now not only does not like the League, but was also disavowed by his own. And there are those who fear that the margins of advantage are now eroding.
