Friend of the diet: pomegranate grains are very rich in water, up to 80% of the overall composition, and low in calories, around 80 per 100 grams. They contain many mineral salts, vitamin C, polyphenols, fibers, proteins, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium and iron. The healing properties of this fruit, of Asian origin and extraordinarily resistant to both drought and cold, were known since the time of Hippocrates, and in recent years its virtues and its beneficial effects have found a place of honor among natural substances that improve the good health of our body.

Natural antioxidant: pomegranate is one of the richest antioxidant fruits in nature and this makes it particularly valuable in the fight against free radicals, the harmful molecules responsible, among other things, for cell aging. In particular, the pomegranate contains the flavonoids, which are fundamental for their anti-aging effect: this is why the fruit is often used in cosmetic preparations to obtain face and body creams, which allow the skin to enjoy all the precious bioactive components of which the pomegranate is rich. Useful to improve the hydration of the epidermis, the pomegranate is also excellent to counteract the loss of tone of the tissues and the typical stains of aging.

Great anti-age: the natural substances of which the pomegranate is rich stimulate cell regeneration and help in repairing the skin. The dermis, ie the outer layer of the epidermis, is made up of fibers of collagen: when these degrade and lose elastin, they become less tonic, causing the appearance of wrinkles. Thanks to the important presence of Vitamin C, among the most important components of which collagen is constituted, the pomegranate is perfect to fight the progressive progression of aging. For a simple DIY cosmetic, we can prepare an excellent scrub with the seeds of this fruit crushed and mixed with coconut or almond oil and a little sugar.

A real cure-all: if that wasn't enough, the pomegranate is also perfect as a natural anti-inflammatory, contains essential fatty acids and helps protect the skin from UV damage. Its grains also contain tannins and anthocyanins, both useful in the prevention of some types of cancer and the risk of atherosclerosis.

Ally of love: besides being the best friend of the beauty of women, the fruit with red grains can also be a good ally for gentlemen. According to some studies, pomegranate juice seems to have interesting aphrodisiac properties on male subjects. In fact, the volunteers who participated in the study recorded an increase in testosterone levels without registering an increase in blood pressure, with an improvement in the disorders in the case of deficits in sexual desire and erectile dysfunction. In short, pomegranate juice is perfect if we are planning a holiday with a high rate of passion or for an evening with a hot character.
