Without celebrations, neither official nor informal, because he did not want them, the magistrate symbol of the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office for decades, Ilda Boccassini, left the Palace of Justice 'on the sly', without at the end even diluting the determined and independent attitudes for which over the years has come into conflict with several colleagues. Formally he will be retired from Sunday, the day after his 70th birthday, but, from what has been reconstructed, yesterday was his last day of work.Today Boccassini, who coordinated many investigations into Silvio Berlusconi and against the mafia and the 'ndrangheta, and who at the end of 2015 tried unsuccessfully to run for the role of chief prosecutor, was not in the office. "She left yesterday," was explained in the corridors. After working up to the last, it is likely that he took the holidays for these a few days before retirement. Perhaps he will come back to say hello to some of his colleagues, but no appointment is scheduled at the Court for his retirement after 41 years of service.
