In Rome, 10 people were arrested, including entrepreneurs and public officials from the Customs and Monopolies Agency, as part of an investigation into some irregular contracts: they were accused of corruption, fraud against the State and "disturbed freedom of the charms ", a crime that simplifies a lot consists in forcing the assignment of the public bids to one contractor rather than another. In addition, assets worth € 9 million were seized.
The crimes would have been committed during the award of a contract for the management and restructuring of some buildings owned by the Pension Fund of the Ministry of Finance, a pension fund for ministerial employees.
