Imoco Conegliano won the World Cup for women's volleyball club

Imoco Conegliano, from Conegliano Veneto, won the World Cup for women's volleyball clubs by defeating Eczacibasi Istanbul 3-1 in the final. The partial scores were 22-25, 25-14, 25-19, 25-21. The World Championships were held in Shaoxing, China, and Eczacibasi Istanbul is one of the strongest teams in recent years, winner of the World Cup in 2015 and 2015. For Conegliano today was instead the first final and the first victory at the World Cup. Igor Gorgonzola Novara, another Italian team that arrived in the semifinals, lost the final for third and fourth place against Vakıfbank İstanbul, another Turkish team that won the last two editions of the World Cup.
