Anthony Joshua beat Andy Ruiz and returned to world heavyweight champion

The English boxer Anthony Joshua has defeated on the points the Mexican Andy Ruiz Jr. in the valid match for the unified world heavyweight titles WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO played Saturday evening in Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia. It was the revenge of the match fought last June in New York, when the underdog and unknown Ruiz defeated by technical KO Joshua, the then reigning world champion, upsetting the hierarchies of boxing. Six months later, Joshua was able to recover all the titles in a long balanced match but won to a large extent on points and decided by his best athletic condition. Despite the defeat, Ruiz proved to still be up to the highest levels of professional boxing.
