The protest was also held in other French cities and involved, according to estimates by the Ministry of the Interior, 28,000 people. The bulk of the protesters, about 4,700 people, gathered in Paris. But no Champs-Elysees: the prefecture did not grant authorization in the area and also refused an alternative route, from the station of Saint-Lazare to the Invalides. The movement, therefore, organized several marches and actions, some demonstrators then gathered spontaneously in various parts of the city. Due to clashes with the police, over one hundred people were stopped: the most violent actions concern the demonstration at Place d’Italie, in the vicinity of which several fires were set and a bank was attacked. In boulevard Beaumarchais, near the Place de la Bastille, policemen chased by protesters hid in a dry cleaner.
