Weather alert of the Civil Protection for the intense Atlantic disturbance coming over the weekend

On the basis of the available forecasts, the Civil Protection Department in agreement with the regions involved – which are responsible for activating the civil protection systems in the territories concerned – has issued a warning of adverse weather conditions. The weather phenomena, impacting on the different areas of the country, could determine hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities that are reported, in a national summary, in the national criticality and alert bulletin that can be consulted on the Department's website (www.protezionecivile.gov.it).

From the morning of tomorrow, Saturday 2 November, the notice provides for widespread rainfall, including showers or storms, over Liguria, in a subsequent extension to Tuscany. The phenomena will be accompanied by heavy rain showers, frequent electrical activity and strong gusts of wind.

On the basis of the phenomena in place and expected, it was evaluated for tomorrow, Saturday 2 November, a yellow alert on Liguria, on most of Tuscany, on Umbria, on Lazio, on southern Puglia, on the southern Tyrrhenian and Ionic of Calabria and on the western sector of Sardinia.

Rainfall:

– from sparse to diffuse, with a predominant reverse or temporal character, on Levante Liguria, upper Tuscany and the Emilian Apennines, with cumulative quantities from moderate to punctually high;

– scattered, also with a reverse or temporal character, on the rest of Liguria, Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, on western Sardinia, southern Piedmont, south-eastern Lombardy, southern Veneto, Umbria, Lazio and Campania, with quantities accumulated from weak to moderate ;

– from isolated to scattered, also with a reverse or temporal character, on the rest of the North, and on Marche, western sectors of Abruzzo and Molise, southern Puglia, southern Calabria and central Ionian, eastern Sicily and the rest of Sardinia, with weak cumulative quantities , until punctually moderate on southern Puglia and central Ionian Calabria.

Visibility: no significant phenomenon.

temperatures: maximum in local sensible increase on the central-southern Adriatic regions.

Twenty: from the afternoon tending to strong from the southern quadrants on all the central-southern regions.
