Weather alert: schools and parks closed in Naples tomorrow (Tuesday 5). The Municipality announces it after the branching of the Civil Protection bulletin announcing an "orange criticality notice" starting from 12.00 on Tuesday and for the next 24 hours. Even the city's cemeteries will remain open only until 11.30.Planned, again tomorrow, a new meeting at Palazzo San Giacomo, with the coordination of the councilors Clemente, Palmieri and Borriello and with all the interested executives, to decide whether to extend the provision also for Wednesday.
In the morning, the Civil Protection announced that rainfall and storms are expected in most of the territory, "which could give rise to a widespread hydrogeological risk, therefore to slope instability, locally even deep, shallow landslides and rapid debris flows or mud". Again: "significant surface runoff, even with the transport of material, possible chasms due to erosion phenomena; flooding of underground and ground level rooms; raising of water levels in minor waterways, with flooding in neighboring areas, also due to local criticalities (tombstones, narrowings, blockages of bridge lights); Possible falling rocks in several points of the territory ".The risk is aggravated by the current situation of soil saturation, due to rainfall in the last few hours and the cumulative effect. Particular attention must therefore be paid to the areas already affected by the heavy rains of these days. Thunderstorms may also have strong intensity. Also associated with this weather scenario are gusts of wind during thunderstorms.
