"Y Piazza San Carlo"
The new "Y Piazza San Carlo" store houses different brands and moods in its spaces to give consumers the widest possible choice to create their own outfits. The flagship, the creation of custom-made garments, with an elegant private lounge. «We must accompany the customer – reveals Piero Sacchi, owner of the store as well as the entrepreneur who created the" Contrasti "stores in Piazza Carignano and" Proposte Uomo "in Moncalieri – teach him to recognize the quality, make him curious and really make it part of a world of style and good taste ».
The restructuring
Also for the restructuring, Sacchi has focused on excellence. The project is by Fabio Fantolino, an architectural firm characterized by a multidisciplinary approach to architecture and design, the protagonist of recent renovations on the city of Turin, and has covered the three floors of the store, completely redesigned: «The intimate and welcoming environment of the new store – explains Fabio Fantolino – it combines contemporary design with the Savoyard soul, just as the different product categories create pleasant and never banal balances ».
The project is based on the contrast of warm and welcoming materials, such as carpets, interposed to cooler and more rigid materials such as tiles and stone. The floors and walls are shaped to become unique together with the furnishings, invading and enriching each other. The result is an elegant image through the use of many valuable materials, contemporary with oblique cuts.
The renovation of the premises began in July 2019 with the construction company Ferreri Costruzioni, a Turin retail company specializing in the restyling of other shops in the historic center, including Hermes and Louis Vuitton. «As always – says the owner Giacomo Livio Ferreri – our goal is to make the customers happy and respond to the needs of professionals. We help entrepreneurs to renovate the premises as quickly as possible and we stay close to the designers throughout the process to make every detail the best ".
Piazza San Carlo 176: after Olympic, the story continues
Olympic had been founded by Francesco Di Masi in 1937. From 1962 it was dominated under the arcades of the old royal square of the Savoy and was also known as a historic sponsor of Torino FC. After the patron's death, in May 2018, his son Luca, former president of the Alessandria Calcio team, announced the change of course, deciding to close with nine months in advance to allow the staff to relocate. From today, however, the premises of number 176 are once again protagonists of Savoy elegance, with "Y Piazza San Carlo".
