Top-3 interviews Brazil 2019 GP: Verstappen, Gasly, Hamilton – Formula 1

On the Interlagos circuit Max Verstappen won the Brazilian Grand Prix, penultimate round of the 2019 World Championship. The Red Bull driver preceded the former team-mate on the finish line Pierre Gasly with Toro Rosso. In third place Lewis Hamilton on Mercedes. Rubens Barrichello interviewed the top three finishers.

Max Verstappen (1st, Red Bull): "Even Lewis was very fast, I had to keep pushing. Every time for the strategy it came back a lap earlier, we had to make perfect pit stops. A couple of times we passed it with good maneuvers to recover the first place, after which I managed to continue the race after the Safety Car with the tires I had. But it was incredible. The race was really fun and it's great to win it. I tried to push at all trying to get closer because that was my only chance, getting closer trying to use the DRS. We knew we had good top speed throughout the weekend and I am certainly very happy to have given gas in order to overcome it ".

Pierre Gasly (2nd, Toro Rosso): "First podium in F1 is a moment I will never forget. It's a very special moment, I don't even know what to say. I'm so excited and getting this result with these guys, Toro Rosso, who gave me a fantastic car since I came back is great. I am grateful to Toro Rosso and Honda for the car they gave me. Many times on the podium, in other categories. They are emotions that you never forget. I kept believing until the end. I saw that there was a lot of battle and I tried to push as much as possible. The opportunity came to us at the end. It was a great race conclusion. I tried to hold the position until the end, I prayed that the Honda engine would give me everything it had. Lewis Hamilton (3rd, Mercedes): "I didn't manage to get past Pierre inside. He did a great job, he was very correct in the way he positioned the car and I really have to apologize to Albon because I tried to make the maneuver, I saw the space, but he closed it rightly. There it was my fault honestly. Max did a fantastic job. They were better than us in overall performance, we couldn't keep their pace on the straight. I ran with my heart, I gave everything I had, I left nothing in my pocket, I apologize for the error. Max?
