In one of the two judgments expected for today on the case of Stefano Cucchi four prescriptions were decided and an acquittal against the five doctors of the Sandro Pertini hospital, in which Cucchi died on 22 October 2009, seven days after his arrest. The prescriptions and the acquittal were decided by the second Court of Assizes of appeal in Rome. In the next few hours, another sentence is expected, this time against the five carabinieri. The Corriere della Sera he writes:

Dr. Stefania Corbi was acquitted. Accusations prescribed for the head of the department of protected medicine of the hospital where the Roman surveyor, Aldo Fierro, and three other doctors Flaminia Bruno, Luigi De Marchis Preite and Silvia Di Carlo were admitted. For Corbi the absolution formula is "for not having committed the fact".

The other sentence expected today concerns the five carabinieri accused in various ways of unintentional murder, false and slander.

Another process related to the Cucchi case – in particular the accusations of misdirection against eight carabinieri – has recently been postponed due to the abstention of the appointed judge.
