Summer in San Martino with bad weather and closed schools, in cold and rainy Sicily even tomorrow

Summer of Atypical Saint Martin with cold throughout Italy. Low temperatures also in the South and in the Islands where usually, in these days the climate is very pleasant with the sun warming the days.

Just for today, in the whole of Sicily, the Regional Civil Protection has issued an alert of orange alert for the weather-hydrogeological and hydraulic risk, valid from 16 today to 24 tomorrow.

For today and especially in the second part of the day, scattered and widespread precipitation is expected "with phenomena of prevailing reverse or temporal character with very high cumulative quantities on the ionic slopes and generally high on the remaining eastern sectors and on the southern and western sectors; widespread from the afternoon with a predominant reverse or temporal character on the remaining areas with generally moderate cumulative quantities "; winds "from strong to stormy south-east, with strong gusts of winds especially from the afternoon on the ionic and Tyrrhenian sectors"; seas "very wavy, tending to agitated, the southern Tyrrhenian and the Ionian".

The orange alert advised some Sicilian mayors to keep schools closed: Agrigento, Canicattì, Palma di Montechiaro, Porto Empedocle, Cammarata, Ribera, Sciacca and Mazara del Vallo. Schools also closed in Calabria: in Catanzaro and Crotone.

Precipitation is also expected for Tuesday on all of Sicily with temperatures that will remain lower. Slight improvement on Wednesday with rains that will focus only on some areas. From Thursday sun on all of Sicily with the temperatures that will remain in the average of the period.
