The trend recorded in the regional elections in Umbria is confirmed. The right wing in Italy is still growing. But it does not have an absolute majority, even if the goal is one step. It is the photograph taken by Izi, the independent institute led by Giacomo Spaini. The Democratic Party holds. If he were able to unite the fragmented area on the left, he would reach 25 percent and – with the entire government majority – hope for a head-to-head with the right. A survey carried out between 4 and 5 November, in the hours when the case of the withdrawal of the multinational ArcelorMittal broke out (a problem that could weigh on the polls especially in the coming months). But here is the data, party by party: the Democratic Party confirms itself as the first party of the current ruling majority, with 18.2 percent against 17.9 for the Cinquestelle. But, looking for a federation on the left, the dems could reach 25. The creature of Matteo Renzi, Italia Viva, would be 4.9 per cent. On the right, however, the League, according to Izi, is by far the first party but below 30 percent: exactly at 28.6. Fratelli d'Italia is advancing, now strong with a two-figure result: 10.7 percent. While Forza Italia would be 9.5.
Imagining a broad center-left M5S coalition, with these figures, it would reach 48.5 percent (although currently the hypothesis is rather distant with the Movement that has rejected alliances in the territories for the next regional ones). The right hand would be 48.8.
Izi also surveyed the controversial topic of the limit on the use of cash. Italy on this is split in half, with 50.6 percent of the respondents who consider it potentially harmful and 49.4 that considers it still useful to counter evasion. Disappearing this data by macro area, instead, we note that the northern regions are more favorable. In the north-west with 50.4 percent, in the north-east even with 52.5. The critics, on the other hand, are ahead in the rest of Italy: in the south with 50.1 and in the center with as much as 56 percent.
