The prostitutes contacted potential customers via the internet, giving them an appointment at the residence
The agents, who intervened following numerous reports from citizens and from the Local Police Command of the Pratiarcati Union, they entered 4 apartments owned by a company based in the Vicenza area and some private individuals, after hearing as witnesses some clients who immediately confirmed that they had just consummated a sexual relationship, paying the fee required for the service directly in the hands of the prostitute (amounts from around 30 to 100 euros), inside the rented premises.
Some were identified in the residence prostitutes from the east and from countries in South America, which, after confirming the activity carried out, reported that they had rented the apartments through some sites in the hotel / tourism sector, a particularly easy way of dealing with a residence with a predominantly "bed & breakfast" type structure. Once apartments were available, prostitutes contacted potential customers via the internet, giving them an appointment at the residence.
The Local Police were paying attention to the structure (made up of about 25 residential units) through specific staging for some time, with the assumption of testimonies by customers, sometimes even in the morning.
On the night of November 7th, the assiduousness of the particular visits was well understood from thehigh number of people che arrived close to the residence in the half hour before the intervention, and tried to contact women by telephone from the street in front of them.
Investigations are being carried out by the Local Police to verify any responsibility of third parties regarding the crimes of aiding and abetting prostitution, since the simple exercise of prostitution in a private place by the person directly concerned does not constitute any type of illicit.
