The car market closed in October: with 156.851 registrations of new cars compared to 147.039 in the same month of 2018, deliveries registered a 6.7% increase. Therefore, the positive trend continues after the growth of last September and – consequently – the progressive of 2019 also improves, given that now in the January-October period, the volumes of registration were equal to 1,624,922, or -0.8% .In this context, the Fca group registered 33,663 cars in October, 1.93% less than in the same month of 2018. The share drops from 23.35 to 21.46%. In the ten months it sold 386,946 cars, with a drop of 2.57% and a share that goes from 26.39% to 23.8%.
Among the types of food, gasoline (+ 17%), hybrid (+ 42.6%), electricity (+ 61%), LPG (+ 1.9%) and methane (+ 283.9%) are growing during the month the diesel gives ground (-13.3%). In the final figures from the beginning of the year, the market share of petrol vehicles is 43.9%, hybrids 5.8% and electrics 0.5%. Diesel recorded a decline from 2019 of -23.1% with a share of representativeness on the market down by 11.5 percentage points and reached 40.6%.In the analysis by brands, according to the Dataforce study, Fiat remains in command, but down. The national manufacturer registered 21,605 cars in October (-5.4%), or 1,234 fewer than the same month in 2018. Its market share in 2019 is 15.19% (about 2.2 points less than 2018 , and in September of 13.78%). In second place behind Fiat there is Volkswagen, which in October marked another sensational exploit after + 44.49% in September: + 36.9%. The Wolfsburg brand registered 16.881 cars against the 12.331 of the previous October. Third place in the monthly ranking went to Ford (+ 1.6%), which preceded Peugeot (+ 8.34%) and Toyota (+ 5.32%). In sixth position Renault (+ 10.86%). Seventh Citroen (+ 9.39%), followed by Audi (returning to the Top Ten), Opel (-31.08%) and Jeep.

In the ranking of the annual cumulative, however, Ford maintains the lowest step of the podium (behind Fiat and Volkswagen), followed by Renault. In the back-up positions of the 2019 ranking Peugeot, Opel, Toyota, Citroen, Dacia and Jeep. The plus sign is the prerogative of Volkswagen, Peugeot, Opel, Toyota, Citroen and Dacia (+ 43.46%).
