Maverick Vinales triumphs in the penultimate round of the season MotoGP, the race of Sepang (Malaysia). The Yamaha driver precedes his compatriot and world champion by three seconds at the finish line Marc Marquez, dominating from beginning to end. Third Andrea Dovizioso: the Ducatist shows in the final battle for the podium against Valentino Rossi, but the Doctor pays the engine difference duty. Great sixth place for Franco Morbidelli.

Maverick Vinales takes revenge after the unfortunate race at Phillip Island, when he fell just a few turns from the finish, giving Marc Marquez the victory. On the Sepang circuit, on the other hand, the Yamaha driver leads from the first lap, ahead of Jack Miller and the world champion. On the fourth lap, the Cabroncito passes the Australian and goes in search of a Vinales but he never gives the impression of being able to give up something. Behind, Fabio Quartararo fatigue: El Diablo remains entangled around the eighth place, in the group that sees Alex Rins, Franco Morbidelli and an excellent Johann Zarco. In the early stages of the race, Valentino Rossi overtakes Jack Miller at the Berjaya hairpin and becomes fourth: the first four positions, net of the battle for the podium between Andrea Dovizioso and the Doctor, no longer change until the finish line. The soft tire chosen by the Ducati driver penalizes Dovizioso in the driven sector in the long run, but the engine power of the Borgo Panigale Rossa is a factor that Yamaha is unable to counter in any way.

Vinales, meanwhile, increases his lead to three seconds on Marquez and easily achieves the second seasonal success. Dovizioso bravely brakes Rossi's impetus, but ends in third place, hitting the ninth podium of 2019. Alex Rins finishes fifth, who does not need a comeback on the Italian duo. The Suzuki rider precedes the two Yamaha Petronas of Morbidelli, excellent sixth, and Quartararo. Close the top 10 Miller, Danilo Petrucci (ninth) and Joan Mir, penalized with a long-lap after causing the fall of Zarco. As for the other Italians, 12th Pecco Bagnaia, while Andrea Iannone falls. Still disappointing Jorge Lorenzo, who closes in 14th place.
