MotoGP 2019 – Ducati: "We are working on a crazy idea to win"

For the third consecutive year Ducati, with Andrea Dovizioso, he finished second in the world rider rankings, a position that is now close to the home of Borgo Panigale, determined to return to win the title he has been missing since 2007. To succeed, Ducati is fielding all its forces to develop something innovative. This was stated by Stefano Rendina, Ducati's technological director: "We have a crazy idea that we want to introduce to find the best way to win the world championship. We're working on it. In 2020 we will know if it is a good idea or not". "Everything can make a difference. Let's try to find the fastest way of the others. We are smaller than Yamaha and Honda and we need to find improvements anywhere, to have the best set-up on our bike. In the past Ducati thought that the power of the engine made the difference, now with pilots like Marquez we know we have to improve in all areas: aerodynamics, engine, electronics, strategy. It is the best example that the human factor counts. The engine is the heart of the bike, but we must not forget the rest". To see the new revolutionary Ducati Desmosedici GP, however, we will have to wait until next February when it comes to the track for the usual pre-season tests. Only then will we be able to see and understand what it is all about, and with us also the Japanese rivals who in the past (see aerodynamic fins) have always pursued the innovations proposed by Ducati.
