The reactions

"We all agree to designate the name of Vincenzo Novari as the CEO of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics Foundation 2026 which will be established shortly. We believe it has all the qualities to do a good job." This was announced by Minister Spadafora, leaving the current meeting in Largo Chigi. "It is a very good result, considering that from next week there will already be a technical table to define the priority of the works to be carried out". Thus the governor of the Veneto, Luca Zaia, comments on the appointment of Novari as CEO of the organizing committee of Milan Cortina 2026. "With these two meetings we are already operational: with the Infrastructure Minister, Paola De Micheli, for the infrastructures, and here from the Minister Spadafora for the nomination of the CEO, and once again the working group acted unanimously, "concludes Zaia."The times are being respected, today we have refocused the governance, even on the statute by now every detail has been defined. It is a question of identifying the people, as far as the sports component is concerned, from the first day we had very clear ideas. that all proceeds, I must say with great harmony, there is a very good team play, I say this with great frankness. The next moves? Go by the end of the month to set up the committee, then perform all the formal acts, respecting the terms provided for by the IOC ". Coni president Giovanni Malagò said this after Vincenzo Novari was nominated CEO of the Milan-Cortina Olympics. "Today's table by Minister De Micheli – added Malagò – was very important. The goal, if we succeed, is to create at the same time the two legal entities of the Organizing Committee and the Plant Agency". The mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, has indicated which are the priorities now that the name of who will lead the committee has been decided: "We must quickly communicate to the IOC that the Olympic law will follow what is written in the candidacy dossier, it is a theme of the Government that will have to prepare quickly the text of the Olympic law. I give an example: the transfers from the IOC to us – Sala explains – will not be taxed so that all the resources arrive directly and we will have to formally communicate the name of the managing director ".
"We unanimously chose the profile that seemed most appropriate and appropriate". Thus the president of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana. "The decision is the result of the analysis of the examined curricula, all excellent profiles that deserve thanks for having proposed to fill this important position. From today we can say that in terms of operations an important and decisive step forward has been made".
