The data referred to refer only to the month of September. Comparing the landings of September 2018 and 2019, in fact the increase in numbers took place, but it is mainly due to the increase in autonomous landings, which is not a new phenomenon ".
60% of landed people repatriated
In particular, the minister explains: "In 2018 the migrants arrived here with small boats were about 6 thousand, while from the beginning of this year there are about 7,500, and the tendency to increase had already been recorded since April ».
Explain that the Interior Ministry is activated to intensify repatriation activity: "In October, 37 Italian citizens landed on Italian territory and we managed to repatriate 243, of which 138 landed in the same month. In this way the percentage of returnees compared to landed is over 60 per cent ».
Then highlights "an important fact" that "occurred with the last landing of the Ocean Viking, on this occasion, France and Germany offered the willingness to welcome 72 percent of migrants, in fact already implementing the Malta pre-agreement, which then begins to give the first results ".
