Without pity, without limits, without fear. A band of assassins ambushed a group of American Mormons in Mexico: three women and 9 murdered children. Perhaps some have been burned alive, atrocious aspects to be verified. A provisional budget for a massacre, for now, without an apparent reason.
The convoy
The convoy of vehicles, carrying numerous Mormons, was proceeding in an area on the border between the states of Sonora and Chihuahua, when it ended up under the fire of armed men. The killers fired on one of the women who came out of one of the vehicles with their hands up, they chased the children who tried to escape and then cooled them. Then they repeated the attack some kilometers away against the rest of the procession. In the first ambush, they murdered Rohita LeBaron, with her an 11-year-old child and a 9-year-old, so two just a year old. The massacre repeated a little later. The criminals have blocked other cars, murdering a couple of women and other minors. The vehicles were then set on fire.
The LeBaron family
Since the 1940s, a community of Mormons has been established in Mexico, a nucleus that has been the victim of aggression in the past. And the LeBarons have been the target of narcos who have never liked their anti-violence positions. However, members of the family claimed that there were no recent threats or particular problems, except those involving entire Mexican regions. Hard to say, for the moment, if the commando who traded civilians for rivals or was a deliberate attack. Unfortunately, Mexican stories can hide implications that are not always clear.

The massacre follows difficult weeks for the authorities. The budget of the narco-war – where not only the cartels but also death squads – continues to grow. While the government had to suffer the humiliation of Culiacan with his son de El Chapo released after the bandits paralyzed the city with a guerrilla-style raid.
