Luigi, died of illness or accidental fall? Another yellow in Lake Iseo

While walking in Via Rampa Cappuccini, some passers-by noticed a silhouette wearing a blue sweater in the lake. They approached the shore and made the gruesome discovery: it was a corpse. The body found on the morning of Friday November 1st in Iseo (Brescia) belongs to a man from Bergamo. Luigi Panizzari, 86, resident in via Maj in Bergamo, retired and in the past owner of the company of commercial representatives that bears his name.

On the place of the discovery, near the restaurant that looks out on the gangway between the landing stage and Piazza Salmister, the firefighters of Montisola intervened for the recovery, in addition to the patrol boat of the carabinieri and a patrol of Chiari soldiers, who started the investigations. From the first surveys, no obvious lesions emerged on the body that might suggest aggression before the man ended up in the water.

At the moment, however, no trail is excluded, even if those of the illness seem to prevail before falling into the lake or accidental fall. Not even the voluntary gesture on the part of the elderly is to be overlooked, even if the findings did not point to elements that support this thesis.

The death dates back to the hours preceding the sighting, perhaps on Thursday evening or even that morning. The man had arrived in Iseo in his car, which was found in a parking lot not far from where the body was found.

The family received the news in the early afternoon and immediately went to Iseo. The body is now available to the judicial authority. The Brescia prosecutor still has to determine whether the autoptic examination or only the cadaverous inspection should be carried out

In the meantime the carabinieri have listened to some witnesses, but nobody has provided useful elements for the reconstruction, while they are analyzing the surveillance cameras of the zone that could have resumed the moment in which Panizzari ended up in the water.

Another thriller on Lake Iseo, which involves a man from Bergamo, after the recovery in Tavernola of the corpse inside the Ford Fiesta headed to Rosario Tilotta, who disappeared from Scanzorosciate in 2004. The investigators are awaiting the results of the autopsy to shed light on the affair.
