Classy vintage

The "vintage" family of Kawasaki expands and, after the W 800 Street and Cafe arrive this year, at the Tokyo show it's the turn of the W 800, which looks like the most classic version of the range. The reference to the models of the 60s is evidenced by the abundant use of chrome that embellishes the engine, but also the steel mudguards, the handlebars, the front headlamp supports, the mirrors, the chain cover, the gear lever, are also chrome the brake pedal and the oil filter cover. The long saddle and the wide and raised handlebar are specific for this model, as is the front wheel: it is 19 inches instead of the 18 inch one mounted on the Street and Cafe models, at the rear the rim is always 18 inches. To distinguish the W 800 from the sisters there are also large round turn signals, while the rubber side panels on the tank are the same as those of the Cafe. Kawasaki also promises exceptional care for the finishes and paints, while the splendid 773 cm air-cooled twin-cylinder engine is once again confirmed.3, inserted in a frame in double cradle steel tubes. Like the brand new Super naked Z H2, the W 800 will also debut in Europe for the first time at EICMA. The price has already been defined: 10,040 euros, not yet the date of marketing. To stay up to date on all the news of the Milan show, click here to access our EICMA 2019 section.
