Italian soldiers wounded in Iraq, the hypocrisy of those who express 'solidarity'

The flood of messages of "solidarity" and "closeness" that flooded theItaly from north to south, to the news of ours five soldiers injured in an attack in Iraq, he did his good job: he filled pages in newspapers, tg, talk, social, most of the time for the sole purpose of giving a glimpse to the public image of those who were feeding him. In the aftermath of the attack that seriously wounded three soldiers, what remained? Little or nothing. If not the will, at government level, of confirm the mission in which our special forces were engaged (word of the Minister of Defense, Lorenzo Guerini).

Well, what mission is it? It is the operation Prima Parthica, which has as its first objective the contrast to theIsis. It has been active since 2014, it is international (79 countries participate) and Italy contributes to it, at most, with 1,1mila military.

It may be, as it was written – and I agree – that there is no link between yesterday's explosion and the beginning of theTurkish invasion in the north-east of the Syria. Because the region in which it occurred, between Kirkuk is Suleimaniyah, has long been beaten by the cells of the former Islamic State. And it is said that the instability produced by Turkey and jihadist groups in the Kurdistan Syrian has had direct repercussions on the organization of ISIS in Iraq.

That being said, what I want to emphasize are some points. The first: in the two Middle Eastern countries there are people from 30 thousand to 40 thousand fighters of Daesh. A very substantial number. The second: there is no doubt that, since when Recep Tayyip Erdogan has decided to bomb the Rojava, Isis has raised his head. And this, of course, despite the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Some facts in this regard: in the last month (the Turkish operation Spring Peace is dated October 9) terrorist attacks between Manbij and Qamishlo, passing through Raqqa and al-Hasaka, they have doubled. In the first ten days of November the ISIS claimed 30 attacks (+ 300% compared to the same period of the previous month). At the same time, with the Kurds committed to defending themselves against the jihadist forces supported by Turkey and the Ankara bombs, the raids of the sdf (Syrian democratic forces) against ISIS cells have suffered a decline in 75%.

Moreover, after the appointment of the new caliph Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al Quraishi, on the channels close to the Islamic State the messages of support to the new leader followed one another with the promise to intensify the bloodshed. Not to mention, finally, the over one hundred militiamen of Isis escaped from prisons controlled by the Sdf, thanks to the Turkish air raids and the incursions of the allied militias of Ankara.

Now, my question is very simple. Because we confirm the anti-ISIS missions (in addition to Prima Parthica there is the one of the Born, in which we participate, and the European one of training and Iraqi security training) when we did nothing to prevent Turkey from invading (again) Syria by helping ISIS, directly or indirectly, to reorganize itself? What is the point of financing military missions and sending our soldiers to risk their lives when we let a born country, in theory our partner, do the good and the bad weather?

In practice we allow (Italy, Europe, USA) that terrorism is reinforced and then trained peshmerga and Iraqi armed forces to counter it. It doesn't make any sense to me. Abandoning the Kurds, the most consistent thing to do would be to interrupt military missions.
