Inter, Moratti: "Mourinho's return is a dream for everyone, but Conte is doing great things"

MILAN – The days go by fast but nothing, at least for the moment, has changed in the Inter home: Gagliardini, Sensi and Asamoah remain in doubt for the Saturday night trip against Torino. A challenge that has always been complicated for the Nerazzurri, who last season left three points on the Toro field and lost 1-0. Net of the past, the present remains with Antonio Conte who will have to draw a median still orphaned of the injured. Given the absence it seems almost certain the presence from the first minute of Borja Valero (so far only one minute in the field). For the rest, Brozovic and Barella are available and, fortunately for Conte, used by service from their respective coaches. The first one played 97 'in the victory against Skriniar's Slovakia (in the second engagement he was not deployed), Barella took the field for 137' with Italy: 92 'against Bosnia and the first time against Armenia. Of the minutes played by the Nerazzurri called by their respective national teams, the use of Milan Skriniar stands out, in the field for 189 'in qualifying for the 2020 European Championships. The Nerazzurri defender is the only player of movement of the top-5 European championships to have played every minute available between clubs (16 games out of 16 without ever leaving) and national (5 matches out of 5 without ever leaving) of the 2019/20 season, considering those who have played at least 16 games.

Meanwhile, there are those who nostalgically dream of the return of Jose Mourinho, who has just sat on the Tottenham bench, in the Nerazzurri. "It is the dream of all the Inter fans, it is quite normal. We are bound to his victories, it is inevitable to hope to see him again sooner or later at the head of Inter," explains Massimo Moratti, a passionate fan and former owner of the club. The tanker, however, does not forget who is now at the helm of the team: "Antonio Conte is doing great things. He has been very good, right away, and is making the most of the players available", adds Moratti, who thinks back to the 'Triplete '. But who of this Inter could have been part of that team? "Handanovic – the entrepreneur says – is certainly very important. Of the new ones … Let's say that it is good that Barella and Sensi have entered and inserted well, with a great impact. Here, they and Lautaro could have been part of the rose" . Moratti closes commenting on the possibility of seeing Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Milan: "Well, before going to Milan he asked me, and I always respected his choices. I would be happy for him if he found a solution to do good again in Italy" .
