For a few coins and a cellphone, he decided to spend that premium permit, granted for only one day, stabbing his elder in the throat. If those hours of freedom were played in this way, Antonio Cianci, who was 20 in 1979 ago when he killed three carabinieri of the Melzo station in Milan, who had stopped him for a check.

Today, a 60-year-old prisoner was arrested again by the police for that assault that resulted in an attempted murder, with the victim who fortunately, from what was known, is not in danger of life. The 79-year-old was wounded in the throat by Cianci in the late afternoon while he was in the underground parking lot of the San Raffaele hospital in Milan, on the 'least 1' floor, near some coffee machines.

According to what the agents reconstructed, Cianci would have approached him to ask him for money and the old man's refusal, he would have hit him in the throat with a cutter, taking away little money and the man's mobile phone. And then he escaped and was stopped by agents near the Cascina Gobba metro station. He still had the blood-stained cutter with him and even his bloody trousers. Cianci, a native of Cerignola (Foggia) and that the chronicles of the time described as a young man with a difficult past and a "fan of weapons", was 20 years old when, on the night between 8 and 9 October of 1979, he killed the three soldiers (Marshal Michele Campagnuolo, the appointee Pietro Lia and the carabiniere Federico Tempini) who had stopped him at a checkpoint between Liscate and Melzo, in Milan, on a stolen car.

While the military controlled his documents that night, discovering, among other things, that at 15 he had already killed a metronotta in Segrate (he was acquitted for mental incapacity and did 3 years of reform), the young man fired with an automatic pistol . When he was arrested, Cianci did not confess and said, indeed, that some soldiers in a car had been shot at the Melzo station soldiers.

At the first instance trial he was sentenced to life imprisonment, confirmed in appeal in 1983. The latter trial in which, however, he finally confessed to the judges with a letter to the judges and the sentence was confirmed, then, also in the Cassation. He was now detained in Bollate and, as far as was known, had obtained a one-day premium permit. His victim today is hospitalized at the San Raffaele, he is serious but not life threatening.
