Ilva, Milan public prosecutor, opens an inquiry into ArcelorMittal's withdrawal

The power of attorney of Milan has opened a file "model 45" (without suspects and without hypothesis of crime) 'to verify the possible existence of hypotheses to react in the case concerning the former Ilva and the controversy with ArcelorMittal. This is what we read in a note signed by the Milan prosecutor, Francesco Greco. For this date, it was delegated to the financial police economic nucleus of the Guardia di Finanza for preliminary investigations. The procedure, it is specified in the note, was assigned to the magistrates Romanelli, Civardi and Clerici.

"The Milan Public Prosecutor's Office – writes Greco -, recognizing a prominent public interest in the defense of employment levels, the economic-productive needs of the country, the obligations of the environmental recovery process, has decided to exercise the right and duty to intervene" provided by the code of civil procedure "in the case of termination of the business rental contract promoted by the company Arcelor Mittal Italia against the extraordinary administration of Ilva".
