As anticipated by the Messenger, Arcelor plans to leave Taranto within two months. "December 4," according to Fim. ArcelorMittal, hard line: "Ilva extinguished within 2 months". Today the table at the Mise

The suspension will be made "with the methods necessary to preserve the integrity of the systems", reads the communication sent by Arcelor Mittal to the government, prefect and also to local authorities and signed by the plant manager Stefan Michel R. Van Campe.

"ArcelorMittal confirms that once the path provided for by article 47 on 3 December has been exhausted, from the following day, and therefore on the 4th of the month, it will not be up to the extraordinary administration to continue the extinguishing plan", says Fim general secretary , Marco Bentivogli in a note. "It is clear that if on December 4 the Ilva in extraordinary administration will not quickly reassume all the staff – he says – the situation will become even more dramatic".

"Today the company has banned inspectors from inspecting, I believe it is a very serious act that will need to be adequately answered", reported the Development Minister Stefano Patuanelli, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Italy-Montenegro electric bridge, confirming that today at the Mise there will be a meeting between trade unions and A.Mittal.

THE COMMISSION'S APPEAL
The urgent appeal of the extraordinary commissioners of the former Ilva with which ArcelorMittal is asked to respect the agreements previously made has been filed in Milan, given that the conditions to request the withdrawal from the lease agreement would not exist.

INVESTIGATION OF THE PROSECUTOR
Meanwhile, the Milan prosecutor's office opened a "model 45" file (without suspects and without the possibility of a crime) 'to verify the possible existence of hypotheses concerning the former Ilva and the querelle with ArcelorMittal. This is what we read in a note signed by the Milan prosecutor, Francesco Greco. For this date, it was delegated to the financial police economic nucleus of the Guardia di Finanza for preliminary investigations. The procedure, it is specified in the note, was assigned to the magistrates Romanelli, Civardi and Clerici.

STRIKE
The trade unions of Fim Cisl and Fiom Cgil, the unitary union representatives and all the workers of the firm 'Pietro Lacaita', engaged in the construction sites of Arcelor Mittal, Arsenale and Torricella of Taranto, have proclaimed a strike from 7 am today until the end of the shift after the company has officially announced that the salaries of October 2019 "will be recognized at a later date", due to "the missed payments of the overdue invoices by the client Arcelor Mittal". It is a condition, the unions explain, "that is no longer bearable by the workers and their respective families".
