The young woman had the intention of withdrawing the complaint, so much so that he had not appeared as a civil party in the request that the Catania Public Prosecutor had activated independently. Giordana the night before she was killed went out with a cousin: by chance she had met her ex, who was with her mother's car, and they had stayed together. What was the murderous spring is not certain: the two also had an open civil dispute, the custody of their daughter. She wanted him exclusively and he apparently was willing to give it in exchange for the withdrawal of the complaint for stalking because he wanted to take the gun and be a security guard. An agreement had been found, but the clarification meeting had turned into drama. Priolo has always denied the premeditation reiterating that the motive was to be connected to "a raptus".
