"We were on the bus back from a trip to Sestri Ponente when next to one of mine students, not Italian, not white and disabled, a woman sat down and, seeing the child, asked me if I could remove him ". So a teacher from a primary school in Genoa told what happened Tuesday afternoon on the public bus that she took with her class of nineteen students for an educational trip out of town, denouncing an episode of racism against her student. According to reports from the teacher who accompanied the two boys together, a woman sat next to the child at a bus stop and complained: "They don't even pay the ticket".

The teachers at this point were not silent and replied that the children all paid for the ticket. Then the middle-aged woman asked: "Can you take it away from me?". The three teachers, annoyed, invited the woman to get up is move: this one went to sit elsewhere, while the other classmates have to console theirs boyfriend aware of what was happening.

The teacher, the next day, told the agency Handle that the school "is deciding what to do. Now, we'll talk about it with i parents. Ours is a school that has always focused onintegration and our children all feel Italian ”. And he concludes: "Today I wonder, if it happened to a adult. Would all this attention have been there? Unfortunately I don't think so. Ours was not an extraordinary act, to fight against every form of discrimination it is our duty ”.
