From the no global to the sardines, the square movements of the 2000s

The «sardines», the young people who gathered in Piazza Maggiore in Bologna and in Piazza Grande in Modena for an anti-Salvini flash mob in preparation for the electoral game in Emilia Romagna on 26 January are just the latest political initiative "From the bottom" that pushes ordinary citizens to make a date to launch a message together. These characteristics are in fact the climate scholastic strike promoted by the activist for sustainable development and against climate change Greta Thunberg, but before that, remaining to the 2000s, the Viola People, Beppe Grillo's V-Day, the girotondi, up to the No Global movement. Here is a brief overview of the various initiatives, from the most recent to the most recent
