A4 motorway accident Monday morning
A4 motorway closed on Monday morning in the section between Sesto San Giovanni and Cormano towards Turin due to a fatal accident that involved a motorcycle and two heavy vehicles, with fatal consequences for the 55-year-old motorcyclist, just before 6:30 am on 4 November. The driver of one of the trucks transported to Niguarda in a yellow code was also injured. The junction was reopened just before 10.45.
Heavy repercussions on traffic, even local. Alternative routes have been branched out: those from Brescia heading for Milan / Turin / Varese must take the mandatory detour on the Teem, where 10 kilometers of tail were formed starting from Capriate, or the Tangenziale Est and then the Tangenziale Ovest; for long distances recommended exit at A35 Brebemi and then continue along the Teem.
Codes reported on the motorway, but also on local roads affected by motorway access: queues then to Monza San Rocco, in Viale Stucchi, to Brugherio, on the State Road 36 and on the ring roads.
After the queue reopening at times for heavy traffic between Cavenago and the Cormano junction.
At the scene of the accident, medical and mechanical rescue operations, traffic police patrols and the staff of the 2nd Trunk section of Autostrade per l'Italia intervened advising them to keep themselves informed about traffic conditions through radio channels, web and light panels.
