The high school atlas from Milan to Rome, from Turin to Naples prepared by the Agnelli Foundation. A guide to the school best suited to your children
of School editing
Eduscopio is back, the online atlas of the best (and worst) Italian schools designed by the Agnelli Foundation to help families in the delicate transition from middle school to high school. Best and worst in what sense? How do you measure the goodness of a school? On the basis of the results of the students at the Maturit, on which weighs the subjectivity of judgment of the commissioners, or those more objective but grainy than the Invalsi? The Agnelli Foundation has chosen a third criterion, external to the schools: that is the performances of the boys in the first year of university (number of exams taken and average of the grades). For the second year in a row, the best high school palm in Italy goes to the Scientific of Applied Sciences (the one with computer science instead of Latin) Pier Luigi Nervi from Morbegno, in the province of Sondrio. For technical and professional institutes there is also a second classification, based on job opportunities: employment rate and consistency between studies done and work found. Last year, another indicator was added for everyone: the graduates who completed the course in clear time, without ever having to fail. If the high percentage, the inclusive school. If low, selective school. Contrary to expectations, as the director of the Andrea Gavosto Foundation points out, Eduscopio demonstrates that it is not true that the most selective schools are also those that better prepare for university and work. Rather. For the new 2019-20 edition, the Agnelli Foundation working group coordinated by Martino Bernardi analyzed the data of about 1,255,000 Italian graduates in three successive school years (2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16) in about 7,300 fields of study in state high schools and private schools. Here are the results in Milan, Rome, Turin, Bologna, Florence and Naples.
